One of the core workflows in HR Service management is Employee Onboarding. Onboarding not only acquaints new employees with company’s culture but also offers organizations a unique opportunity to provide exceptional service. Yet, all too often, this is treated as a mere IT implementation rather than a chance to deliver excellence.
It all starts with a task, well a whole bunch of tasks!

For simplicity, let’s break it down:

• Candidate fills out a form with personal details, asset preferences e.g laptop and HR specific information benefits, opt-ins etc
• Based on the role and location, HR business partner have to complete a list of tasks to have the candidate get ready for day 1
• Approvals based on the task type and rules configured. e.g Employee needs a higher configuration laptop
• Synchronizing candidate data with HRIS system e.g Workday

Like any project management, the above steps require management visibility, monitoring, communication and collaboration.
