Example Ivanti Integration Setup

After setting up your connection, use the OnLink app from the “Manage your apps” menu to configure field-level mapping. Below is an example of a common mapping configuration:

key:DiscoveryId=ID
map:DisplayName=Display Name
map:OS.Version=OS Version
map:OS.Name=OS config:data_source=/api/apigatewaydataservices/v1/devices

Understanding the Mapping Configuration:

  • key:DiscoveryId=ID – Sets the unique identifier (Ivanti’s DiscoveryID) for updating and syncing records.
  • map:DisplayName=Display Name – Maps Ivanti’s DisplayName to JSM Assets’ Display Name attribute.
  • config:data_source= – Configures Ivanti’s valid API URL to fetch the asset data.

Running the Integration in OnLink:

After configuring your data source and mapping, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to OnLink from the “Manage your apps” menu in Jira.

  2. Run the integration by first clicking Connections > Job Logs.

  3. Click Import and wait for the message: “No pending records. Data will be imported on next Import run.”

  4. Trigger an Import run manually or schedule automated runs for production environments.
